Hello,
Wordpress updated the date/ time component in 5.3. Since updating, in order to get all of my event times in EE3 to show appropriately (7pm to 10pm, not 2am to 5am), I had to change my WordPress date and time setting to GMT 0 (London). Problem is, now I have to set all the registration close times ahead the appropriate number of hours (say 7 hours for Denver which is -7GMT) in order for the event to remain active. Make sense?
Can you help? I think the appropriate solution would be to get the events to show up at the correct time in my time zone so I don’t have to set all of WordPress to GMT0.

Hi Kelly,
Can you update your site’s version of Event Espresso to 3.1.37.15.P? This version includes fixes that work with the Date/Time Component fixes included with WordPress 5.3.

Hello,
I updated to 16.P. However, the problem remains for the event calendar. I still get a GMT 0 registration close time… I can register if I click into the event, but the calendar displays it as closed.
Currently our registration close time for a 7pm event is set at 1am the following day in order for it to remain active. It normally would be set for 7pm.

Hi,
There will be some updates to the calendar add-on for EE3 to add compatibility with WordPress 5.3.
If you’d like to apply the related fix to your copy of the calendar plugin, and you’re comfortable with editing a PHP file, you can follow these steps:
1) FTP in to your site’s wp-content/plugins/espresso-calendar/espresso-calendar.php file
2) On line 602 change date to current_time (2 places)
3) On line 610 change date to current_time (1 place)
4) Save file

Update: Events Calendar Add-on v2.2.8.p (for Event Espresso 3) is released and it includes the fixes to help make the calendar more compatible with WordPress 5.3.
