Hello,

I have been using Event Espresso for many years now. I was wondering as the data base size grows if there are any know issues, ie slowdowns. Currently I have:

57,920 registrants
3,940 events (most are expired)
52,660 transactions

I did notice that the Registrations:Reports no longer work. I get a screen timeout every time. (Tried about 10 times)

Hi Troy,

Generally not although it is server-dependent.

The main question to ask yourself about that data, is do you actually need to keep it? If you don’t need to keep that historic data then I recommend removing it.

However, before getting into any of that, this:

I did notice that the Registrations:Reports no longer work. I get a screen timeout every time. (Tried about 10 times)

Shouldn’t be happening, so let’s troubleshoot that a little more first.

What steps are you taking to produce the export and, what do you see on the page?

I click here and get this result. It does take a bit longer than a normal page load (maybe 40 seconds) before error.

Oh, my apologies, I thought you mean the registration CSV reports.

Those reports pull 30 days of data which should not be causing timeouts ( especially if most of your registrations are expired or over 30 days old) although it does heavily depend on your setup. Looking at the query there are multiple joins which could be the cause of the timeouts if you have a lot of data.

If you check the servers error logs does is show any errors from Event Espresso when you load that report?
