Is there a way for me to alter the details portion for registration checkout? Is that in the hook, AHEE__SPCO__after_registration_steps? What I want to do is just change the name and description to not remove line breaks. And add in a line to say “Please pay attention to your ticket information when filling out this form”.

Could you share a screenshot (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots) of where line breaks are being lost?
There is also some introductory text above the registration form. Are you wanting to replace that information with your new text?
