1) I looked in the support forum, but got confused. If you want to modify one of the Default Message Templates, do you create a custom one or modify the ones that are there by clicking on one of the links (like Edit Event Admin)?

2) I just saw where the Connect with this Event section was coded so I can remove it once I know how to create/edit the template.

3) One of the workshops is in Canada (even though we are based in the US). Payments are handled by sending a PayPal invoice in CAD. I couldn’t figure out how to set that up and worked around it by putting the price in the Ticket Name, setting the price to 0 and entering a message in the Ticket Details. (Otherwise, the price shows up on the registration page as USD.) To help facilitate this, I would like the Ticket Details to be a larger font. In my theme, Ticket Details are displayed in a very small font. How do I increase the font size?

Sorry, I forgot one thing for Question 3. Can I get the text from Ticket Details in the Your Event Registration Details email?

Thanks for your help!

Default message templates are the templates used by all events by default, so if the modifications you are making are intended to be used across all events then you edit those directly.

Custom message templates are used when you want to use a template for a specific event(s), it’s nearly Christmas so let’s use that as an example. If you hold a Christmas event and you want to make changes to the Registration Approved template specifically for that, you don’t want to change the default template as then all events would use it. So you create a custom template and then set the event to use that custom template.

Make sense?

Every message type be it a default or custom message can have multiple ‘contexts’ (the links you referred to) and each of those has a separate template. So for example the Registration Approved message template can have 3 contexts, those are Registrant, Primary Registrant & Event Admin, you click the link for each individual context to edit that specific context in that template.

For more info see here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/

2) I just saw where the Connect with this Event section was coded so I can remove it once I know how to create/edit the template.

So I guess you don’t need further help with doing this?

Can you link me to the page in question, please? I’ll give you some CSS specific for that event/ticket.

Or do you want this to apply across all events?
