I’ve experienced this happening with two different installations of event espresso. I can’t say for sure its related to the extension or if they’re figuring it out some other way – but in general our user is not tech savvy – so I suspect my email (only stored as the site administrator user account as far as I know) is being exposed to end users because I am receiving questions/queries about registrations from time to time. Has anyone else experienced this? Does EE use the administrator email somewhere within the confirmation emails? I’m stumped.
No Event Espresso does not store the admin email within the message templates, however, it will use the [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] shortcode by default.
That shortcode parses to the email address of the user account set as the author of the event, which if you have created any events on the site whilst logged into your account will mean it’s using your email for those.
So before looking into ways to work around that, do you have some events with your account set as the author?
