Hello,
I’m new to EE and would like to create a custom query that lists all events on my front page with the appropriate metadata. What is the best way to do this? I’ve tried the EVENTLIST shortcode, but this was not parsed as a shortcode when added to the page’s content. I need to list:
1. Title
2. Duration
3. Location
4. Featured image.
Thanks for the tip. This shortcode definitely runs on the homepage, but it’s output is very verbose listing all of the info for each event. Is there any way to query for all events + meta data and only display the needed info? I only need the following displayed:
1. Title
2. Duration
3. Location
4. Featured image.
The shortcodes don’t have separate templates for themselves. If you made the needed customizations to the templates, then they would apply to your shortcodes and other front end pages for Event Espresso.
With that mentioned, you should be able to hide most of that information on only that page by using some CSS that uses the post id + classes and ids for Event Espresso content.
