Hi there,

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by a secondary theme, you can create a custom page template within a child theme and then select that template on specific events if thats what you mean?

where i can edit where the ticket info goes, google location and dates etc?

It depends on the specifics of what you need, but we have an option in EE to reorder those:

Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates -> Single Event Pages

Set the ‘Use Custom Display Order?’ to Yes, then set the order you want in the drag and drop section.

Is that not what you are looking for?

Note – the above doesn’t work for ‘specific events’, you’d need a custom template for that.

Hey Tony, yeah i would like to use the standard theme for most events and for the special ones this new custom theme.

Would it be possible to share those instructions with me please.

Thanks,

So I duplicated a template that I would like to use for 7 upcoming events. For only these 7 events do I want the ticket selection to be under the description of the event.

So the changing of the order won’t work since I only want it to only change for the 7 upcoming events.

I’m not sure how familiar you are with WordPress templates, but to do what you are looking for you to need to create your own custom page template for these events. In that template, you’ll be taking over how the event details are output completely and calling the templates used to output each section directly.

So I duplicated a template that I would like to use for 7 upcoming events. For only these 7 events do I want the ticket selection to be under the description of the event.

What exactly did you do here?
Copy the template file in your theme? If so, which file?

You need to create a page template within your theme:

https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/

Then take a look here:

Which gives you an overview of how the templates load.
