I’m reading up on the new messages system you’ve built and you say 3rd party devs will be able to extend this..
I want to do just that. My client needs some more templates (for example a message to send after event to collect surveyinfo). However I can’t find any information at all on where to start?!
Found this: /classes/Custom_Messages_Template_List_Table.html which seems to be something in the right direction (possibly). But it’s not something I can just jump right into.
Do you have any resources on how to get started?

You can use the newsletter message type in Event Espresso 4 for that. First, ensure that it is enabled through Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings.
Then go to Event Espresso –> Events and hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations.
This will take you to a new page that shows registrations for just this event. You can select some of the attendees or all of them and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Send Message button.
Also, there have been some changes in the messages system for 4.5. For example, the invoice is now managed through a template in the messages editor.
Have you had a chance to look at the pre-release version?
