We created custom messages (email/html) for every template (admin and registrant). We assigned those emails to our events – The templates in use for both html and email have our new messages in the selection. However, the system is sending the default emails and is sending the custom HTML. This is a multi event setup. Any suggestions on where to look to solve the problem?

Hi Kathy,

I understand that you have some custom messages setup and those are assigned to an event.

Are you testing by completing a registration and then you are getting both the default and the custom email?

Could you share a screenshot of one of the custom message templates in the messages editor?

I’m interested in what is set in the TO field for the custom message type.

And when you say multi-event, is that using multiple date times through one event or different events?

Lorenzo,
After reading your message I did see some of my custom templates had a blank to field. I updated them (for both admin and registrant) using [CO_EMAIL] and [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL]. Saved and double checked.

I am, however, still getting the default messages.

By multi-event I mean we are processing more than one event at a time on our registration form.

I don’t see the link to upload an image, sorry.

By multi-event I mean we are processing more than one event at a time on our registration form.

Unfortunately that has different meanings for different users.

Are you using the EE4 Multi Event Registration Add-on on the site?

When using the multi event registration add-on and registerting onto multiple events EE will currently always use the default message templates regardless of what is set per event.

I don’t see the link to upload an image, sorry.

For screenshots you’ll need to host the iage somewhere and post the link here, we have some examples here:
