Hello, We have a one day event with multiple sessions that people can select to go to A or B, or Not at all.. We set up custom registration fields to handle this, but would like an email that sent this information when someone registers listing those selections. Is setting up a custom field the correct way to set this up on the registration fields? Is there a better way? How do we add those custom fields to the notification email? Thank you. |
Hi, Those are included in the default templates, at least in some of the default templates. May I ask which email template + recipient are you looking to add the custom field values to? |

I would like to include the custom questions answers in the Registration Approved email. I added the following: [ATTENDEE_LIST],[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_QUESTION_LIST], and [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*], but nothing seems to come through when I send a test email. |

The recipient(s) would be the attendee and the admin. |

Hi – I haven’t received any additional info on this forum. Looking for some support please. |
Hi, Could you elaborate a bit on where/how you’re using the shortcodes? For example which template sections are the shortcodes placed in? |
|

Hi – so I went into Event Espresso Messages > Default Message Templates > Registration Approved > Edit Event Admin and the email template looks like the following: Registration Notification The following attendee(s) have registered for the following event: [EVENT_LIST] [ATTENDEE_LIST] [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_QUESTION_LIST] [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*] [INVOICE_URL] I added in the shortcodes for list, answer and invoice, but they do not appear to be coming through on the email. |
With this one:
You actually need to put the exact text of the question immediately after the *. For example if the question is “Company Name”, then your shortcode will be: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Company Name] |

You can also check to see if you’re comparing the template to a different email notification. For example is the email you’re getting actually the Payment Notification email? |
