Hi,

I am assuming this is EE4 and you have added a custom field to the event.

If so, you could simply use the “the_title” filter.

Here is a basic example that takes a custom field called abc and adds it’s value to the end of the event’s title: http://pastebin.com/jRzLjsGj

Hi Cara,

This will depend on which version of Event Espresso you have. If it’s EE3, I can point you to here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#ee-meta

If it’s EE4, you can use Advanced Custom Fields, and we have a tutorial that show how to add custom fields here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/add-sponsors-section-events-using-advanced-custom-fields/

A possible hook in EE4 you can use to display content just before the title is the AHEE_event_details_before_post hook. If you need to append content to the title, you can copy the EE4 templates to your WordPress theme and modify them there.

Hi again, I guess I a little confused. DO I have to install a plug in called advanced custom fields to accomplish this or can I just use the add custom fields feature already present in the add event page…

thanks

HI Dean, I realized there is an issue with the solution you have given me.

It works well but not only it adds the custom field to the main event title but it also adds it to he top navigation links!

what can be done?

thanks
