Hey, First of all Event Espresso seems exactly what we need for our events. We have some questions before buying one of the licences : 1) We are based in France, is it possible to change the currency from dollar to Euros ? 2) Is there any translation of Events Espresso in French ? 3) I registered for the demo of EE4. Did all the functionnalities of the demo are in the vanilla software or add-ons are in it ? |
Hello,
Here is feedback on your questions: You can switch Event Espresso 4 to a base of operations for France and the currency will change to Euros. Event Espresso 4 is partially translated: http://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/fr/event-espresso-fr_FR Certain areas of the demo sites have been restricted for security purposes. For example, we do not allow edits to the payment methods pages. — |

Hi, Are you wanting the people to be able to create events (projects), or is it simply that they will select a project from a list of options? If it is the that they will create events then it is possible with EE3 and the Roles and Permissions Basic and Roles and Permissions Pro plugins or perhaps our Beta addon, Front End Manager. However, you would need to use a third party membership plugin to handle access to the website. If you are using the Front End manager you could also potentially use the membership plugin to provide access to that as well, though there is no way to limit events being made. EE3 also has an addon called price modifier which can be used to change the price of a ticket based on answers to a question, but EE4 in general handles tickets and pricing better even though it does not have a price modifier system based on questions. EE3 allows promo codes, but not cumulative. EE4 does not currently have a promo code system (we are working on it). If this doesn’t help, please provide more information about how you plan to structure your events. |

Hey Dean, The processus for the event would be like this : 1-Our event is one big competition event. 1-Participants pay for their company registration and the number of projects they want to present during the competition. (so maybe using EE3 or EE4) 2-After payement they have to complete a form With all the informations for their project (we use gravityform for this part). If after payement EE can register People it would be great, so we would Just have to send People to the loin page and redirect them to gravityforms. So like you said, they Will simply choose to contest in a category, With a list of options. They can’t create events. Hope i have been clear. Regards |
Hi, Event Espresso 3 collects registration information before a payment is made for the registration. There is also an option to send a customized email. You could use this option to include the link to your form to that can be completed after a payment has been received. — |

Hey Lorenzo, I tried both demos. I can’t find the advanced options tickets in EE3 like in EE4 when you click on the little wheel icon. Could you tell me if it is in EE3 and where if it exist. Thank you. |
|
Hi, EE4 and EE3 are similar but different and they do not share all the same features and options. What are you trying to do exactly, and then I will be able to advise if that feature is available in EE3 or not. Also you can check this general overview of the differences between EE3 and EE4 – https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/ |

Hey Dean, In EE3 can we increase or decrease prices based on dates, is it flexible ? For exemple, if i am 2 days before the events, the price will be increase. Thanks |
Hello again, There is an early bird discount option that can be enabled on a per-event basis. This could be set to run until two days before the event and the regular pricing would be reactivated. https://eventespresso.com/features/promotion-codes/ — |

The tax system is currently part of Event Espresso 4 only. — |

Hey Lorenzo, Thanks for your reply. One last question please. On EE3 is it possible to get the ticket choice not in a dropdown menu but one under the other with quantity needed etc… like in EE4 in fact. Please find attached image to easier understanding of what we want. Thanks |
|
The link didn’t work sorry |
Hi, that is a feature of Event Espresso 4. However, if you use Event Espresso 3 along with the multiple event registration add-on, then pricing can be displayed in a table: It will appear like this: http://cl.ly/image/0w180k1Z1j2U You would then select various pricing options and then complete registration checkout once. — |

Thanks to you both for your answers. EE4 is clearly what we wanted but we can’t use it Without promo codes. Thanks Again for your help. Regards |
