My setup is WordPress 5.2.2 and Event Espresso 4.10.0.p.
Once I click on that button https://monosnap.com/file/Qqfcgin4GWe9CLfZRiVta0vTC78Gxr I see the following instead of expected export file: https://monosnap.com/file/8qRz8Sa7Gb1mOtsV8oK4PiIGkEvyF3.
Please advise what’s wrong. Server settings ?

It could be a variety of things causing this. Here’s a link to a troubleshooting guide you can follow:

Yes, but this is only happened when I’m trying to do the CSV export, in other words the export is not working. Can you maybe please limit us to the problem we may have?

I’ve removed the .htaccess with everthing there from the security plugin file and create a new one. No there is no 403 error, but still there is no export. Now it simply redirects to the 404 default wordpress page.

It sounds like what’s in the guide applies here as you’re getting different errors depending on what’s in the .htaccess file. You could also check with the host to see if any mod security rules are triggered when you try to run the export.

The issue within the Bulletproof Security Plugin. But in order to understand the exact issue I need to know the actions maybe? The BPS plugin may prevent a file to download or?

What do you mean by actions in this context?

The button you clicked takes you to another page that will look something like this – https://monosnap.com/file/lSwEqe2ffoFyI1EJEmZ18OaN8CE43b

On that page EE uses ajax to run ‘batch’ queries on the DB and write the restuls to a temp file.

Once complete it streams the file to the browser to download.

The BPS plugin may prevent a file to download or?

If BPS is blocking the page in the admin you’ll need to check in with them on how to disable/work around that.
