When we export a list of registrants, the name of the CSV file is not the name of the event, but the data in the file does match the event we’re interested in… Here’s an example: |
Hi Linda, Hmm, so it is all the correct registrations within the CSV, just the file name is incorrect? Are you running any caching plugins? Just to confirm are you navigating to Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations. Then exporting from there? |

Sorry for the delay, Tony. Yes, in the screenshots, you’ll see that the info within the CSV is correct, it’s just the name of the exported file that does not match the event. And the export was generated by: On the registrations page, on a registrant’s row we hover over the name of the event and click the View Registrations link. Then on the resulting page displaying all registrants for the event, and this at the top (as an example): Viewing registrations for the event: Train the Trainer- Vancouver – Begins May 17 – TTTLM05 we click the blue Event Registrations CSV Report button at the bottom. And in the case of this example, the resulting name of the CSV file was for a Kamloops event. |
Hi Linda, Could you update to the latest version of Event Espresso 4? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ Also, who is your hosting provider (web host)? — |

Just updated everything, so we’re running EE 4.8.43.p WP Version 4.5.2 But wrong file name – correct data. We’re with Full Hosting in Vancouver BC LiteSpeed (Linux van-sh11.fullhost.com 3.10.0-329.7.2.lve1.4.4.el7 64-bit) |

One of our staff members wondered if, because we’re duplicating events to save entering lots of parameters, the new event is somehow retaining the name of the original event in some way. Certainly not the title of the event, because we can see that it’s changing, but maybe a slug somewhere in the database settings?? |
|
Yes, that’s it. We’ve never paid attention to the WordPress slug because we don’t use the event URLs for any purpose. When you copy an event, the slug of the old event remains with the number 2 added at the end to keep it unique. We never noticed that 2 in the names of the CSV files – we were fixated on the incorrect event name! So, we need to pay attention and change our slugs! Thanks for being patient 🙂 |
