Hi,

I’ve been using EE3 for several years and I’m implementing EE4 now. Using latest versions of EE4 and WordPress etc.

EE3 had an option to export to Excel. It created a perfected formated excel file. It this not available in EE4?

When I export All Attendees in EE4, the resulting CSV file is not formatted into columns. I’ve tried using the data import from file etc but cannot get the correct settings. I’m also concerned clients downloading these reports will not be able to use data import. Is there something I’m missing here with CSV/Excel reports?

Thanks

ALan

Hi Alan,

What does the file looks like when you export, then open in Excel? I just tested this on my testing server, on the latest version (4.8.7). The export opened in Pages (Mac) and shows the columns.

Can you explain what happens when you export?

Hi Jonathan,

IT was a regional settings issue. See http://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/2293-i-have-trouble-opening-csv-files-with-microsoft-excel-is-there-a-quick-way-to-fix-this . Changing list seperator to acomma solved this issue.

Thanks

Alan
