Hi there, When we try to download a CSV report it just opens the file in a chrome window. Is there a way to download the file please? |
Hi there, Does the CSV file has any content in it? Or is it a blank page? Or do you only have issue with downloading the CSV file? Regards, |
Hi Harshad, thank you for the reply. It has content, please see this screenshot. https://share.getcloudapp.com/mXuP5B6j I can log in via ftp and download the csv file, but our staff member is unable to do that. Regards |

Hi there, Are you able to download the CSV file on other browser like Firefox or Safari? Regards, |
Hi Harshad, In Safari it does not work: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0uK4eAp I also tested it in Opera, same result. |

Hi there, Could you please try adding Regards, |

Hi there, As this is happening on multiple browsers it may be that your server is returning an incorrect MIME type for CSV files. What that means is the server is basically telling the browser the content is HTML (not a CSV file) so the browser tries to open the content instead of saving to a file. If you open a ticket with your host and ask them to add this mime type to the server:
This may also work:
Does the file then download? |
Thank you! That fixed the issue. |
Great, can I just check which fix above you used? I don’t recommend using |
I asked the host to add the mime type to the server. |
Ahh, great! Any further issues (hopefully none with the above 🙂 ) just let us know. |
