We have two payment options for our registration: credit card and invoice. If I select invoice, the system still requires the credit card information: it does not go away. If a discount makes the ticket free, this is still the case. If I disable credit cards, then the required fields disappear. This just recently started happening. We did a server upgrade. Not sure if that affaects it.
Please help.
We have another license for Event Espresso where this does not occur. It seems that something is broken in the javascript or something so that clicking credit card or invoice doesn’t trigger the different displays. Please help!
Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. We just found the problem. I am posting what we found here in case it might help soeone else.
It was a clash with the Clearfy plugin. In particular, the “Remove jQuery Migrate” option in the performance menu – which states:
They started adding jQuery migrate in WordPress 3.6. Most up-to-date frontend code and plugins don’t require jquery-migrate.min.js. In most cases, this simply adds unnecessary load to your site. You can see this running if you launch Chrome Devtools console.
Clearfy: Removes jQuery Migrate JavaScript file (jquery-migrate.min.js). Warning! If there is a broke on your site, disable this option!
