URGENT! Will someone please, please tell me how to get rid of the creation date and the events icon on published pages. They are confusing and completely unnecessary – can’t figure out why they are a default setting.

Hi,

The creation date is added by the WordPress theme. So the way to remove those will vary.

If your WordPress theme shows the creation dates on posts but not pages, you can add this code snippet to switch to use a page template instead:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/templates/jf_ee_custom_post_type_template.php

You can add the above to a functions plugin or, if available, into your WordPress child theme’s functions.php file.
