I have ee4 installed, the wp-user integration. Cool!…. except I can’t figure it out.
I now understand that I must change user capabilities… I have installed the appropriate plug-in to do it but I am baffled and the LAST thing I want to do is provide capabilities that might accidently ‘wreck the shop’.
Do you have a list relatively begnign WordPress or EE4 capabilities?
I don’t think you need to change user capabilities unless there’s something unique to your membership scheme. Are your members given the default “Subscriber” role when they become a member of the site? If so, you can set the WP User Capability required for purchasing the member only ticket to be “read”. This is outlined in our documentation:
So unless you’re not assigning the subscriber role to new members, you can use the “read” capability and you do not need to change user’s capabilities.
Darn, I should have clarified, I am using Paid memberships pro. From looking at another thread it looks like pricing can’t be set by member level is that right?
If Paid Memberships pro gives each member level its own capability, then yes you can set each ticket to require a specific a capability to give each member level its own ticket prices.
