Hi,
can I create a discount code for event? I have members that I would like to offer a free ticket to an event and not sure how to do it

Hi Noelene,
Looking at your site I can see you are currently using EE4.
EE4 does not support Promo/Discount codes at this time. To offer a free ticket you would need to create the ticket within the event or manually add the registration through the admin and set the Registration status to Approved.

Hi Noelene,
The promotions system for Event Espresso 4 is still in progress.
You can add attendees/registrants manually through the WP dashboard area:
WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Events
Hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations. On the next page, you’ll see an Add New Registration button at the top of the screen.
Click on it and then complete registration checkout.
Once that has been done, you can go to the transactions screen for that registration and apply a payment as a “discount.”
For example if a ticket is $25, then you would apply a payment of $25 and add a note like “complementary ticket.”
