Hi, So teacher A in location 1 would have their own timetable, teacher B in location 2 would have their own timetable, and so on. (I have the User Manager so they already have their own events linked to their profile.) Is this possible with the EE4 system I have? I don’t believe it is, but if there is a way to do this I would be really grateful to hear from you. Many thanks |
Hi Katie,
I’m not sure what this means, can you explain a little further please, how are the events linked to their profiles? Are they set as the author of the event?
Yes, it is possible, you’ll need some custom roles that you set the teacher accounts to (or set up their current roles to have the correct EE capabilities) and set the teacher to be the author of ‘their’ events. That way you can create user accounts that only have access to ‘their’ events within Event Espresso. Before digging into this further I’d like to understand the above a little more first as it may be different from what I’m expecting. |

Thanks for your reply. I have already set up the teachers as different users, so they are able to create their own events. What I need to be able to do is show a different timetable for each event author. So instead of everybody’s events all coming up on the same timetable, I can put Teacher A’s timetable on one page, and teacher B’s timetable on a separate page, and so on. Does that make sense? If you look at http://www.suffolkbabies.co.uk/timetable you will see we have a really long list of events in different locations and this list is set to increase in a couple of month’s time when we take on new teachers. I want to create a page for each teacher with their own individual timetable of classes on. Is this doable? Many thanks |
Oh, your using the table view template add-on, so yes its possible. Add
Will show any events assigned to the author with ID 13. Is that what you are looking for? |

That’s exactly what we wanted – thank you Tony! |
You’re most welcome. |
