It works well but now I’m trying now to link teachers to organizers. The idea is that a teacher belongs to one (or several) organizers like for example a school teacher that could give courses in one or several different schools. What I’m trying is the following:
1. Organizer 1 creates his profile. Let’s say the organizer is a school.
2. Then he creates the profile(s) of the teacher(s) that gives courses in his school or select these teacher(s) in the list of already created teachers.
3. A notification is automatically sent to the teacher created / selected to ask him to confirm that he gives courses in this school. In our example, the teacher confirms.
4. When creating a new event, the organizer can choose the teacher(s) among the list of teachers that have already confirmed they give courses in this school, or ask a teacher that don’t belong to its list to confirm that he will teach on this particular event.
Is it possible to do that using EE4 People Add-on and the differents types of people?
While none of what you’ve described here is possible out-of-the-box, these are custom post types and custom taxonomies so you can use other plugins like Advanced Custom fields to build connections between one post to another or several posts. One example is Advanced Custom Field’s relationships feature: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/relationship/
Hi Josh,
Thanks for the tips, I will try to use it. Then do you how can I link EE4 People Admin add-on people types with the new field I will create? Should I setup the new field “teacher” as a type of a people (types tab in the People Admin backend menu)?
Thanks a lot!
You could, and those People types are a custom taxonomy.
