I’m trying to create a sort of “index” page that lists each of the courses we offer arranged by topic area. I don’t need the full topic event description, on an excerpt, the title and date and the image. Very much like the default listing but separated by topic area.
I can see where the shortcodes allow me to list a category (or topic in this case) but the listing is unwieldy. The shortcode I’m using is in this form: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=fat-grafting]
You can customize the output of the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode by copying over the content-espresso_events-shortcode.php file from the Event Espresso plugin into your WP theme.
Then you follow the instructions located in the PHP comments at the top of the file.
