How do I create an event template page to reformat the current values available? Do I just create a template that has the shortcodes in it, and it will automatically replace them with the selected event, or do I use a variable in the shortcode? If so, how do I grab the current event ID to use within the shortcode?

Hi there,
May I ask what you are using to create the template?
EE doesn’t support pages builders currently so to create your own custom template you would need to create a template file in the theme itself, the above sounds like you are using some type of builder?

I am using a page builder for most of the site, but I just made a custom template for the event page just last night. Is it possible to use Advanced Custom Fields and make them available to the Event page, and then use some fields to make customizing that page a bit easier? We want to add performer/presenter names, and right now, I seemingly have control of the_content and the_excerpt. The latter has no fine-formatting controls.
Let me know the ways you have seen this done best, and I will try to emulate. Here is an example event page (I am currently working on it):

I am styling, but also trying to add those fields to the Event Entry page (and format them)

I actually solved the main issue of this support request. I used Advanced Custom Fields, and was able to add some to the event form, and use them.
