I often have a need to create an event without a date. Using TBA (To be announced) instead. Is there away to make an event show up in the Event list without publishing the date. And, perhaps placing Date TBA as an tag or event category? It acts as an announcement or a “holding place” that the event is going to take place.

An example would be an event has to be postponed but we don’t have the new date. We may know the month, but that’s it.

Hi there,

While events do require a date, you can hide the dates from the display with some CSS. Here’s a link to a related thread that includes some example code:

Josh, thank you for responding. Most of the events will have set dates. I’m not sure that I’m following you, how does this CSS editing work for individual events?

The links in the article post that you provided above don’t work.

Lorenzo’s reply shows how to target only a specific event with CSS:

e.g. if your event ID = 3724

then you add this to your stylesheet:

.postid-3724 .event-datetimes {display:none}
