Hello,

I am setting up a course (“Road to Recovery”, e.g.) that has multiple weekly sessions that run over multiple weeks in different venues.

For example:
Session 1: Thursdays, August 2, 2018 – August 23, 2018, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Blue Classroom
Session 2: Thursdays, August 16, 2018 – September 6, 2018, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Green Classroom
Session 3: Tuesdays, November 6, 2018 – November 27, 2018, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Orange Classroom

When I look at the .ics file, it shows a continuous booking rather than individual classes (I understand why this happens when I define datetimes); can I define weekly classes that are NOT individual recurrences?

Can I set different locations for each session / ticket?

Will the Multi Event Registration add-on catch conflicts if a person tries to book two different courses on the same time and date?

can I define weekly classes that are NOT individual recurrences?

When you define a weekly class, it’s actually recommended to set individual recurring datetimes for each time the class meets.
e.g.
August 2
August 9
August 16
August 23
When you set a Datetime for each time the class meets each class will display as a single date on the calendar (if you use the EE4 calendar add-on).

Can I set different locations for each session / ticket?

Not with the Venue manager. If you set up an event for each session then you can set a specific venue.
e.g.
An event for Session 1 can be set to a “Blue Classroom” venue;
An event for Session 2 can be set to a “Green Classroom” venue, and so on

Will the Multi Event Registration add-on catch conflicts if a person tries to book two different courses on the same time and date?

The Multi Event Registration add-on will actually have the opposite effect where it will allow people to book two different course on the same time and date.
