Hi,
I’ve been enjoying the Lite version, but require ability for user to enter coupon codes which I don’t believe lite version includes.
Does EE4 have the promo code feature? I thought I saw it somewhere, but don’t see it as a listed feature now.
Please help. Need to purchase ASAP and trying to figure out which solution is best for me. I thought I saw Personal and Business plans previously, not sure if EE4 replaced those?

Hi Bryce,
Event Espresso 4 does not have Coupon/Promo code functionality at this time.
It allows you to restrict ticket purchases to certain quantities of tickets (effectively offering discounts for purchasing multiple tickets)
Event Espresso 3 does offer Promo code’s so I would recommend using EE3 currently until EE4 has matured enough to include the features you require. Event Espresso 3 license’s come with Event Espresso 4 so once it includes the features you need you can simply update.

When viewing the Pricing page you can view either Event Espresso 3 or Event Espresso 4 license. Clicking on the banner highlighted here allows you to switch between the two – http://take.ms/3bo0p

Thanks Tony. That helps. I do find the pricing a bit confusing on the site. Would be nice to have a pricing table outlining the different plans and included features all on one page.
So EE3 Personal License at $89.95 includes Promo Codes? and don’t require the Business License?

Thank you for the feedback, I will note this within a ticket to see what we can do to help make the pricing clearer.
EE3 Premium includes Promo codes as core functionality so is included within all Premium Licenses.
Currently the difference between the Licenses is what Add-ons are included. The Personal License includes the Calendar, JSON API, Custom Templates & Social Media Add-on’s. Unless you need the functionality of the other Add-ons the Personal License is all you need 🙂

Starting today, current support license holders can opt in to the pre-release channel and download the Event Espresso 4.7 and Promotion add-on pre-releases.
We’d love to get your feedback on some of the new promotion features and changes that we’ve been working on. These include:
- New interface for managing promocodes
- Promo code discounts now apply to entire order instead of per ticket
- Promo code generator
- Automatic (non-promo-code) discounts
- Discounts limited by quantity
- Discounts limited by start date and end date
- A widget for displaying non-promo-code discounts
- A shortcode for displaying non-promo-code discounts
Important: The Event Espresso 4 promotions add-on will activate only if Event Espresso 4.7 is active. This means you’ll need to install the Event Espresso 4.7 pre-release before installing the promotions add-on.
If you haven’t already opted into Event Espresso’s pre-release channel, you can go to your account page and check the box to opt in to the pre-release channel. Once you opt in, the download files will be available under the EE4 tab under the Pre Release Downloads heading.
