I represent a training company which sells courses to both private individuals and large corporates.
Each corporation negotiates discount rates depending of volumes of people attending training during a year. Students from these corporations may not register themselves on courses but the registration is done by the Client Training Manager or HR Manager.
1 Is it possible to create a profile for the Client Training Manager/HR Manager so that when that person logs onto the system to register students the correct discount rate is applied?
2 Student results and reports need to be forwarded to both the student and the HR/Training Manager, is this possible?
3 is it possible to email the Training/HR manager when the subsequent courses are due for their staff?

Hi Gordon,

We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.

The system you have in mind is not really the way Event Espresso works. With some workarounds, you may be able to build something close.

You would need to create separate events for each type of student/discount rate. Then you can use a plugin like Members by Justin Tadlock to create roles for each discount level, and add the users to the different roles. You would then need to add pages with the event details that are only accessible to each role.

That way, when a user with, say a 20% discount logs in, he will only see the events that are accessible by his role.

Does that make sense?

Also, there isn’t a way to send email to 2 end users. The email will go to the event manager (site admin) as well as the user’s email address that is entered at time of registration.

Also, reports are not emailed. The users will need to log into the Event Espresso dashboard to download reports for their events.
