Would there be any issue with converting directly to the current beta version of EE 4 from an EE3 install? I’d like to test some features out on a replicated site. Thanks |
Hi there, As long as you’re going from Event Espresso 3.1.36 to EE4 the data migration will that runs when you first activate EE4 willconvert the EE3 data so it can be used in EE4. If it’s an earlier version of EE 3.1, you’ll need to update to 3.1.36 first. Also, please be sure to deactivate the EE3 plugin before you activate EE4. |

Hello, I used both the current 4.4.8 and the 4.5 beta (restoring the SQL file between attempts). I literally have hundreds of events but only two converted to useable data in EE4, none of my attendees converted. Is there something else I could try? |
Did you start from Event Espresso 3.1.36.6? When it ran the migration, were there any error messages? |

I did convert from 3.1.36.6, I did not see any error codes but I can go back and do it again or give you access. |
Hi there, You can run the migration again if you reset the EE4 data on EE4’s maintenance page. Once the migration finishes, it should have a migration crash report that you can send to the support @ eventespresso.com email address. |

I restored my SQL file via my host. I uploaded and activated 4.4.8. Here is a notice posted Event Espresso has detected event data from version EE4.1.9.1.reg (Core) that can be migrated (updated) to work with version EE4.2.0 (Core). This data is a replicated database from an active website that has never had EE4 installed so I’m not sure why it sees the EE4.1.91.reg. I’m converting anyway and will send requested information to support. |

After the first migrations… Core Data Migration to version 4.2.0 Completed Migrated 3 records successfully during Datetime Fields Only 3 records and 10 records out of hundreds. |
Hi, I sent a reply to your message. Go ahead and reply via email to that message. — |
