I would like to have more control over the questions that are asked of registrants by ticket type?
For example:
Full Conference Registration Ticket – all questions checked for both Primary and Additional Registrants.
Guest Dinner Ticket – ask no questions or only one question like “Badge name”
Currently if you buy the Full Registration ticket I have it setup to require both the Primary and Additional registrants to answer all of the questions using Drop Down menus: Attending dinner Saturday?, attending dinner Sunday?, workshop A1 or A2, workshop B1 or B2 etc. There are no surcharges for these questions.
But if they want to just buy a guest dinner ticket so their spouse can come to dinner Saturday or Sunday night I do not want them to see those workshop/dinner RSVP questions when they get to the checkout/registrant info pages. The dinner ticket is $55 otherwise I would just make it part of the drop down menus per registrant “Guest Dinner Ticket Sunday”.
Is there a better way or must I have a Guest Dinner Ticket that asks the Full Registration questions but make a text note somewhere that they set those menu options to No/None? You know how users are – they are going to be confused by this.
Another approach that you could take instead of doing tickets for add-on options for a registration, is use the Price Modifier add-on. This add-on allows for doing a Full Registration (ticket), then later when they fill out the registration form they can opt in to purchasing dinner, which will add to the price of the registration.
Thank you. Purchased and installed the Price Modifier plugin yesterday. It works well and eliminates confusion at registration. Gives me just what I needed.
Thanks,
Sarah
