Website: icmhq.com
Wordpress Version: 4.4.1
Event Espresso Version: 3.1.37.6.P

I am considering migrating icmhq.com to EE4. Right now we are using the recurring event manager for online courses that are held monthly http://icmhq.com/cmii-courseschedule-online/. I am wondering if I will be able to use the multiple dates/times feature of EE4 for this?

We also use a custom template for the event list view http://icmhq.com/cmii-ipe_courses/public-cmii-course-registration/, is there an alternative to this where you can add multiple events to the cart?

One issue I have always had with EE3 is that when I first installed it, I also had Jigoshop installed while I was trying to figure out the best route to take. I do not use Jigoshop at all but when I deactivate the plugin, the EE3 cart breaks. When you add something to the cart, it will take you to the page but it is empty. Do you have any advice on how to combat this?

Thanks!

Emma

Hi Emma,

With the example that you shared, you could use the multiple dates and times option and then create a ticket for each day.

If you will have events that have a lot of recurring events, then continuing to using Event Espresso 3 with the recurring events manager may be a better option at this time.

There is an events table view template add-on but it does not support adding multiple events directly as the ticket selector in Event Espresso 4 starts a registration.

We are not affiliated with Jigoshop and are not aware of an integration that connects Jigoshop with Event Espresso.

Is there any caching services running or are you refreshing permalinks after Jigoshop is deactivated?

Browsing to Settings –> Permalinks in the WP dashboard will automatically refresh the permalinks,

Hi Lorenzo,

We have six events that recur monthly that are online. We stopped using the recurring events for all others because we wanted to include the location in the event title.

Is there plans to create the multi-add option in EE4?

I discovered that the problem was with the multi add list on an http page. The site is https but there was an old link that was sending to http and for some reason those events were not added to the cart. I was able to correct the error and delete Jigoshop.

Hi Emma,

A recurring events manager for Event Espresso 4 is currently undergoing planning and I wanted to let you know this isn’t something that would be available in the near future (e.g. next month).

We are currently working on Event Espresso 4.9 which will allow automated reminder messages. There are also some new payment gateways in the works.

Thanks for sharing how you resolved the issue with the empty cart!
