Hello,

We are about to implement Stripe Connect, choosing Standalone Accounts and Direct Charges system, but we have the following question:
Once we have the Connect plateform all setup, how can we be sure that the end-user, the guy who book a ticket for the theater workshop, will pay the right theater professor = the right Connected Account (the right workshop publisher)?
This is a real concern for us: how can the Stripe system can recognize that when I book this or that workshop, I will pay the corresponding Connected Account?
Do you know where in EE4 we techincally indicate that the payment will be directed to the dedicated workshop publisher please?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Hi there,

Are you building a custom gateway for Event Espresso for this? The current EE4 Stripe Payment Method does not provide support for connect to allow you to take payments from multiple accounts.

One option would be to use the payment methods pro add-on to create multiple ‘instances’ of the Stripe add-on, each with the unique account details saved within and then set the correct Stripe payment method on the correct event to receive the funds.

Is that what you are looking for?

Hello,

Thanks for your answer. Juste to be sure that my question is clear for you, I will try to explain more. It is also to be sure that I understand well you answer 🙂

We permitted to several event organizers to post their events through EE4. Let’s say we have 5 different event organizers. Each of them wants to receive money from the registration that registrants do on their events paid online. To do so, we installed EE4 Stripe Payment Method first and tested it: it works if we stay in the very simple situation where we (admin of the website) collect, centralize money and then redistribute the money to each corresponding event organizer.
But now, let’s say that we would like to change the way of managing the flow of the money through Stripe: we don’t want to centralize money of each event but we want that money go directly to the right event organizer and that we take a fee on each amount when money go to these event organizer. Good news for us: Stripe offer a special service to do exactly so, it is called “Stripe Connect”. It allows us to manage money as if we were a marketplace, what we really are actually.

Knowing that we would like to manage the flow of the money as described above (money go directly to the right event organizer Stripe Account), my question is “How can we do to match this way of managing the money flow and EE4 events posting / payment way of working” ?

Is it what you understood in my first message?

Thanks

Currently EE is designed to be used by a single organization to host their events, its not intended as an ‘Event Marketplace’ setup meaning the current EE4 Stripe Payment method (and the current setup within Event Espresso) does not support Stripe Connect. Whilst it is possible to do, it would require customization to include the connect features and then also send the correct details for the Stripe account you want to use for the event to Stripe.

The method I posted using the Payment Methods Pro add-on would allow you to use a different Stripe account per event but it does not allow you to take commission from those accounts.

Knowing that we would like to manage the flow of the money as described above (money go directly to the right event organizer Stripe Account), my question is “How can we do to match this way of managing the money flow and EE4 events posting / payment way of working” ?

In short you need custom development work from a developer, if you are not currently working with one we have a list of developers familiar with Event Espresso here:

Hello,
Yes I think you’re right, I sent 3 requests for further developments to find a way to do what we need.
Thanks
