EE: 4.1.8 My client report confusing statistics for an event, Look at this image. It says that there are 16 tickets sold, but there is only one registration. When we check registrations, there is indeed only one paid registration that paid for 1 ticket. There are maximum 88 tickets available. So where does 16 tickets sold coming from. We can’t trace it to any transactions. Please, explain. |

Hello, Did you initially use this event for testing registrations? For example, you created the event and then ran through some test registrations and then removed those? Also, the current version of Event Espresso is 4.1.10.reg. — |

Hi Lorenzo, No, we haven’t run any testing registrations. And the reason I haven’t upgraded it yet to 4.1.10 is because you disabled some of the necessary functionality in 4.1.9 that i needed for the site: where I couldn’t select not to show excerpts or something like that |
Hi there, It turns out the show excerpts option didn’t do anything, so the option itself was disabled until the release of 4.2 where it will actually let you configure how the event list gets displayed via options. You can find where the 16 sold tickets come from by scrolling to the top of the event editor for that event and click on the link that appears in the right side column (top box) that says “Approved Registrations”. |

Hi Josh, Thanks for getting back to me on this, but under Approved registrations, it still shows only one sale – one registration. Still not clear where 16 sold tickets stats is coming from. Only one ticket was purchased by that one person. As for disabling the short description, you are saying that it didn’t work in the first place, so disabling it wouldn’t have changed anything? |
|
Josh, there was another problem with that disabled functionality. ON the list of events, we don’t want to show Event Location, and in the version 4.1.6, I was able to disable that in General Settings and it worked. However, after version 4.1.8, it stopped working (or was disabled) and now the list of events shows location after each event. (and I can’t select to not show it in General Settings). |
Hi there, I loaded up a copy of 4.1.4.P to double check this and the venue info did display even when the options were turned off. The templates and their settings are in a state of refactoring while Event Espresso 4 is still in beta. If you can update to the latest version of Event Espresso 4 that will help. You can manually remove the event location from the list by copying over the content-espresso_events.php file to your theme folder and changing line 61 to read: <?php if (is_single()) { espresso_get_template_part( 'content', 'espresso_events-venues' ); } ?> |

Josh, So again to summarize my problem with the templates with new version of EE (which is very confusing): in 4.1.8 version: on single event page, in 4.1.10 version: on single event page: |
|
so I need to remove Venue location on All Events page, and add registration buttons and Venue location on a single event page |
Hi there, Version 4.1.10 did not remove the venue location or registration buttons from the single event page. Do you have any templates copied over from the EE plugin into your WordPress theme? |
