Dear Event Espresso
We have bought the Event Espresso plugin, together with the plugin called WP Abstracts. When we activate both together, they conflict, and the WP Abstracts submission layout fails, while users cannot input information into the body of the abstract submission page, and this hence becomes unclickable. The submission page (in the WP Abstracts plugin) reverts to normal when we deactivate Event Espresso.
We requested assistance frmo the WP Abstracts and they advised us to speak to you..
Please advise.
Is the WP Abstracts plugin in question the free version or the pro version? The reason I ask is because I’ve the installed the free version onto a testing site along with Event Espresso and the submission page works OK there.
Also, has WP Abstracts investigated this or did they simply pass this off to contact Event Espresso?
Last year, we activated both plugins together and it worked perfectly. This year, we changed the theme of the website to ‘Flatsome’ and the two plugins began to conflict to the point where we have to choose one or the other. We do not know if the culprit emanates from the theme or from the fact that there exists a conflict between the two individual plugins.
We used the pro version (for last year and this year) of the WP Abstract plugin, the supporter has not found any problem on their end.
Can you verify whether it is actually the theme that causes the conflict? In other words, if you temporarily switch to another theme, does the conflict go away, or does the conflict persist? The answer to this question will help us know what to do next.
