Hi, I’m having trouble getting my confirmation and payment emails to send. Just to clarify, I have checked ‘Yes’ for ‘Send payment confirmation emails?’ and ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ on the EE General Settings page. The primary contact email within EE settings matches the email within the WordPress General Settings. I’m currently developing the site through localhost; WordPress version is 3.6 and it’s a fresh installation of EE 3.1.35.1.P. I regularly develop within my localhost environment and send test emails with no problems at all. Am I missing something? Thanks very much for your help! |
Hi Angela, Event Espresso uses the WP_mail function, therefor if WordPress can not send emails, neither can Event Espresso. If no emails are received at all (neither the Admin nor the attendee emails) I would suspect an issue with the site/server setup. Could you try installing a plugin such as WP Check Email and send a test email from there? If that fails I would install a WP SMTP plugin and configure that to use my gmail account for example. |

Hello Tony, I have the same problem and I use the WP Check Email plugin you suggested and told me that my site can send emails, but the EE email doesn’t arrive. I check inbox and spam folder, but there’s nothing happen. |

Hi Tony – thanks for your reply. WordPress can send emails just fine, and is sending emails through the FS Contact Form plugin with no trouble at all, so there does not appear to be an issue with the site/server setup. It’s strictly an EE issue. Any ideas? Thanks again. |

Hi Angela, Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this? If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated. |

Hi Dean – the site is currently being developed through localhost, but I’ll upload to my test server and send you the details once it’s done. Thanks for looking into this! |

Hi Dean – uploading to a test server solved the problem, so it looks like it was something to do with the localhost setup after all! Thanks for your help. |
