Hi,
Is it possible to set up conditional pricing based on location, or more specifically, post code?
We have courses that are free to certain individuals if they live within a range of certain postcodes, so we need the logic that works like this:
If registrant is resident in post code ranges ABC1 to ABC12 or BC1 to BC12, price is free
or
if registrant is NOT resident in post code ranges ABC1 to ABC12 or BC1 to BC12 price is £25

Hi Phil,
Currently, we don’t have any conditional pricing within EE.
As it stands the user also needs to first select their ticket on the ticket selector (which also shows the price) before you capture the address fields so even if you customize the checkout to discount the ticket based on the promotion code (which would require custom development) EE would use the full ticket price up until the payment options step.
Do you require users to log into the site or can anyone register onto the events?
Would a promotion code not work?

Hi Tony,
Currently users don’t need to be logged in to register; anyone can register.
I’ll have another think bout it all and will have a look at discount codes as well.

Hi Phil,
One thing you could look into is have a specific question about location with possibly a select option for each price point, then you can use the price modifier add-on that’s available from a 3rd party:
