Hello,
I am building my company’s conference registration and I have a few questions about the functionality of EE4 (I’m about to install it on our website) and would like your recommendations on how to set this up because it’s complicated.
Our annual trade show will draw about 1,500 attendees and 120 exhibitors. We have multiple registrant types that can purchase multiple events tickets – can EE4 accommodate that? Here are the registrant types we have:
• Member (member # required at the beginning of reg process)
• Non-member
• Exhibitor (one exhibitor rep will register the group which will include 3 basic passes, 3 employee exhibit hall only passes, and three client exhibit hall only passes) Is this possible?
• Speaker – complimentary. I can probably use a promo code for this.
• Student – complimentary. Promo code?
Here are the multiple event registration options:
• Basic Registration (member, 65 and older member discount, non-member, non member + membership payment) – $295 before March 3rd, $350 after
• Basic Registration – Exhibitor – free
• Exhibit Hall Only one day pass – $35
• TUESDAY One day basic registration pass – $185/ late $205
• WEDNESDAY One day basic registration pass – $175/ late $195
• THURSDAY half day pass – $75
• Banquet only (this also needs to be an additional ticketed item that can be added on to anyone’s registration) – $95
• Luncheon only (this also needs to be an additional ticketed item that can be added on to anyone’s registration) – $50
• Breakfast only (this also needs to be an additional ticketed item that can be added on to anyone’s registration) $35
Additional Items that can be added to anyone’s cart:
• Banquet – $95
• Luncheon – $50
• Breakfast – $35
• Walk around lunch ticket in the Exhibit hall on Monday or Tuesday – $15 each
• Mine Tour – $ tbd
• Sponsorships – around 15 different kinds.
Questions:
1. When a member of CMA goes to our website to register for the show – how will EE4 be set up so that they have to enter their member number so that they get the registration discount?
2. Should I create a separate, special registration page for exhibitors since I want them to have group registration capabilities? Will that be considered an entirely different event, meaning that I will have to run separate reports for exhibitors and attendees, and them combine the reports to get the total # of conference registrations?
3. I’d like the exhibitors to have group registration capabilities. Is that a possibility? How will that look on the user end? Can I have them upload their company logo and description through registration as well?
4. Sponsorships – we will probably have around 15 different sponsorships. Instead of having them all listed in the additional items section – can there be a link to sponsorship opportunities and then attendees can add them to their cart from that separate page? I want them to have their own page because I want to put descriptions in and it will get VERY long and daunting if I keep them all on the same page as the other additional items.

Discounts based on a list on pre-set numbers is not currently available. I have two ideas for handling this. If you have the member numbers and there are not many of them, then you could create individual promotions using the member numbers.
However, if you have many members attending, then you may want to create one discount code that is used by these members.

Collecting additional information for additional registrants is set on a per-event basis. If you wanted to offer this for exhibitors but not for regular attendees, then I would create a separate event.
3. I’d like the exhibitors to have group registration capabilities. Is that a possibility? How will that look on the user end? Can I have them upload their company logo and description through registration as well?
You can allow the registration of multiple attendees at once by enabling the personal question group on an event. This can be done through the event editor which looks like this: http://cl.ly/image/0F0M2K0g3O2P
Uploads are not supported at this time. However, you could create a custom message template and assign it to this event for the exhibitors. Then add a message to reply with the logo in the registration approved email.

I would create events for each of the sponsorships and then add them to a specific event category. Then you could use the following shortcode to show these events on a WordPress page:
From here, you could provide a link from the main event page which would link to the WordPress page with the URL above.
