Completed payment but incomplete transaction

After the user complete and paid with Paypal, we receive a confirmation email and the customer too but without transaction number.

In the event participant list and also in the payment area, the transaction still incomplete.

We never update in the middle on event registration but for fix this issue, I updated to the Version 3.1.37.2.P and we still have this problem.

Hi Louis,

So there is no record of payment at all within EE?

Is the transaction number empty or ‘0’?

The confirmation email you are receiving is the email from EE or PayPal?

All act normal on the client side, he received a conformation email but something missing …

“We have received your payment in the amount of C $ 60.62 for signing up to Rushwood September 6, 2015.

Transaction number: ”

…The Transaction ID number who’s come from Paypal?

And the transaction still incomplete.

Is the PayPal IPN running on your site?

If that does not sound familiar, then please follow these steps to get setup:

Hi,

We never used IPN and it worked great.
I Follow the steps, added PayPal IPN but it does not solve the problem.

Hi Louis,

Please update to 3.1.37.3.P. There’s a fix in the PayPal gateway that accounts for any accented characters. It looks like the recent WP security release is shutting down where it updates the attendee payment status if any accented characters are in the data. The fix in 3.1.37.3.p takes care of that.
