Hey Guys! I have several “Abandoned” transactions but their payments went through. Do I have something set up incorrectly or was this a bug that’s already been fixed. Thank you! |
Hi Tammy, When are those registrations from? Are the recent? Are you using the latest version of EE4? (Currently 4.6.25.p) Which payment method are you using? |

Those were from Feb. Also, I have several on 4/30 where the Registration was locked and “Approved” BUT the transaction was “Incomplete”. And then I have one on 4/30 where the Registration was locked and “Approved” AND the Transaction was “Incomplete” BUT the payment was paid. I always do the updates so just curious if these were “bugs”, a default or some setting I have wrong. |

I DID have that event set to “approved” but recently changed it to “pending payment”. Do you think that was the issue for most of these Approved/Incomplete transactions? Would the event being set to “Approve” without payment lock the registration? |
Can you check you events default registration status. Edit the event, look within the Event Registration Options on the right, you’ll see an option for ‘Default Registration Status’, what is that set to? Which payment method are you using? |

Hi Tony! It was originally set to Approved, but I changed it today to Pending Payment. This was was the event and the default. I use only PayPal. |
Within your PayPal Account can you see if Auto-return is enabled please? You mention the payments have gone throgh, but are they visible within the Event Espresso Transaction to? |

I enabled Auto-Return…and I set my default settings to “Pending Payment”. I think initially having it as “Approved” locked it even though the transaction was “Incomplete”. The PayPal issue may have been something else. Everything seems to be working fine now. I understand the “Abandoned” issue now after reading what everyone else was saying, but if you could give us a “clear all” button to delete them or set them to perm delete after so many days, I think that would be a nice feature that would save Admins hours of time cleaning those files up. And display the Reg Code on the Admin/Transaction page (admin.php?page=espresso_transactions). Anyways, I’ll let you know if the changes to PayPal fixed the issue. Thanks guys! |
