We just migrated to EE4 and we didn’t realize that now all tickets are sent separately. We often have school groups sign up that have 100 kids coming, so individual tickets aren’t feasible. Is there any way for us to send out just one ticket, like we did in EE3 with the number of attendees on it?

Hi Jonathan,

Assuming you have the Ticket Notices set up similar to the defaults, you can activate the “Primary Registrant” context and deactivate the “Registrant” context for the message that sends out the Ticket notice. That will make it send one email for the tickets.

You can activate the Primary Registrant context by adding [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL] to the To: field in the Primary Registrant recipient template, then save. Then you deactivate the registrant context by switching to it, and removing what’s in the To: field, then save.

Then, to change it so there’s only one ticket instead of all the tickets appear on the ticket page, you change the ticket notice template where it says this:
[TXN_TICKETS_URL]
to this:
[RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL]
