Color-coding Events on Calendar By Category

Hi. We have three event categories that each have their own color scheme (background and text). The scheme appears correctly in the legend, but none of the events are color-coded by category.

For example, on http://www.dchistory.org/events-calendar/ the DC Fire Museum event is categorized as “Programs and Events” but the color scheme doesn’t seem to be applied. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi John,

If you go to Event Espresso -> Calendar.

You’ll find the option ‘Enable CSS for Categories’.

Is that currently set to yes?

Hi, could you go to one of the categories that have a color set and re-save?

Let us know if that restores the colors on the calendar.

Hi Lorenzo. I tried that as you suggested, and I even created a new category. The colors still don’t translate onto the calendar.

Sent. Thanks for the help.

Also, on a semi-related note: Whenever we update an event it says “Event trashed” instead of “Event updated.” The faulty message scared one of my coworkers. You might want to look at that as well. Thanks again!
