Question :
I’d like to set up EE to be able to do classes. The classes are for children to attend so their parents will be signing them up. I general information is easy to have them fill out but I can’t think of a way to have a User ( Parent ) have multiple children signed up for multiple classes ( sometimes not the same class ). Is there a way to do this?
Ideally : The parent would create an account in the system and add children to their ‘ profile ‘ ( name / dob ) and then when they are signing the kids up for summer classes, they would just pick from a drop down which kids and when.
Is this way out of scope of EE? The system seems to be very capable of ticket / event sales for single events but I’m not seeing how I could reliably run classes out of here. Thoughts?

Hi Steven,
Whilst it is possible to use EE for classes it would not work in the way you are requesting with the dropdown for various children assigned to the account without a fair amount of custom development.
What you can do is create a parent question group within EE and assign that group to the ‘Primary Registrant’ question group in all of your classes.
The primary registrant questions are asked once per registration group so it means you enter the parent details within some custom questions and the children’s details within the standard ‘Personal Information’. You can then use the answer to the parent questions within the emails so the emails go to the parent but the registration is for the child.
(One note is that First Name and email is required for all registrants set up this way, the email can be the parents but it would need to input for each registrant, or use some jQuery to automatically copy the parents email to all registrants and hide them)
It takes a little setting up to get it to work but can be done.
