People can register for classes through our website but they cannot pay. They can, however, purchase other products through our website. Why is this and what do I need to do? I have taken the registration option off for now until we can get it working. |
Hello, Did you activate a payment gateway in your Event Espresso > Payment Settings page? |
QuickBooks Merchant Services Payment Method has been activated in Event Espresso. It is still not accepting payment for the classes. |
Are there any error messages shown? Can you link me to an event I can run a test registration on please? |
Can you check your connection ticket within Event Espresso -> Payment Settings -> QuickBooks Merchant Services. Also check if the ‘Use PTC’ checkbox is disabled? http://take.ms/8p4Bs Are there any error messages shown for these failed payments? |
We have a connection ticket. The ‘Use PTC’ checkbox is not checked. Do I need to check it? The error message just indicate that the payment has failed. |
You can test the registration and payment through this link: |
In order for use to test payments you will need to enable ‘Use PTC’ within QuickBooks gateway yes. When you enable PTC you will also need to generate a new connection ticket. If you click the ? next to the checkbox – http://take.ms/YaRU2 You will find a link within the popup to create a new ticket. Once enabled and a new ticket saved in the gateway we can run some test payments. |
Will creating a new connection ticket disable the payment for products that we sell? We have menu items that people can purchase and I don’t want that to be disabled if I create a new connection ticket. |
I followed your instructions and created a new connection ticket. Will you be testing the registration payment? |

This is what I received when I ran a test payment… Transaction Failed redacted – Event Espresso support team – LOC

Hi, that error doesn’t look familiar so I ran some Google searches and it may appear if you are using test mode with live or production credentials: https://getsatisfaction.com/corecommerce/topics/quickbooks_merchant_services_connection_error_2000 So I understand correctly, you are currently using Intuit Merchant Services through another ecommerce platform and now you are trying to set it up with Event Espresso? What is the error that appears when live mode is enabled? — |
We are using Quickbooks Intuit merchant services. We sell products through wordpress. We want people to be abe to register and pay for classes through event espresso. When live mode is enabled, it says payment failed. Do we need to purchase a separate support license to be able to accept payment? |
This message is at the top of the Event Espresso Manage payment gateways page: “You have the correct Support License Key for Event Espresso but your account only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” Is this why payment is not being accepted? |
Hi, the support license key is unrelated to payment processing. That is for support services and I’ve assigned your account a new support license key ending in 38: https://eventespresso.com/users/dishtpass/#account-settings Go ahead and apply that new support license key through your general settings page in your WP dashboard and save changes. It may be possible that your current solution for selling products is using a different account setting. Could you provide more information on the settings that is being used by that solution? For example, does it also require a connection ticket like the Intuit merchant services payment gateway for Event Espresso? If it does, then please check to see if there is extra spacing when you are copying and pasting the connection ticket as that would prevent payments from working as expected. — |
Hello, When I unchecked the ‘Use PTC’ checkbox and I created the new connection ticket, payment was accepted. I made the payment option public since it is working now. |
Do I enter the new support license where it says personal API key or where to I put it? |
Please disregard most recent message. |
Hi, based on this message, it sounds like this started working after test mode was turned off and a new connection ticket was created: https://eventespresso.com/topic/class-registration-payment/#post-143660 Can you confirm that payments are being accepted in your existing shopping cart and in Event Espresso? Also, we do not test live payments from our end. — |
