If i limit the number of people to 10 say for an event and 10 people register and choose the Direct Deposit payment option – then i see if i dont mark these as paid then the event is still open for more registrants…..there is a time delay with DD and monies showing in the account so just wondering whats the best way to manage this situation please? Once an event is sold out is there a way for people to still register interest – eg in case of a cancellation?
sorry i just found that i can mark the event as Sold out till we work out payments….so all good – but wondering if there is a way to be alerted when a class has sold out so I can change the event to sold out – eg any way to get an email perhaps?
No because within EE those offline registrations are not paid yet so it doesn’t know the difference between those paid and those not.
What you can do however is set the Default Registration Status to ‘Approved’.
Note that what this will do is automatically Approved ANY registration onto the event regardless of payment method and the user will receive the Registration Approved messages as if they have paid in full. It basically adds their registration to the ‘sold’ registrations even if they haven’t paid. So you (the event admin) will need to monitor those registrations.
thanks Tony – that might be confusing…I had better just monitor manually – is there any way to receive an email when a class of 10 say reaches 9 registrations?
Notifications when an event is nearly sold out is not currently a feature in Event Espresso.
