Hello

I upgraded the event espresso plugin this morning and now my site is having a internal 500 error.

In the error log it says:

[21-May-2018 07:24:33 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘EE_Config_Base’ not found in /home/****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Network_Config.core.php on line 218

Any ideas?

Hi there,

How did you update Event Espresso? Manually via FTP or using the Plugins menu?

It looks like there are files missing from your installation so the first step will be to remove the current version of EE, download the latest version from your account page and re-install EE from Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.

I’m assuming you don’t currently have access to the wp-admin so you can’t remove the plugin from the dashboard?

If not you’ll need to use FTP to log into the server, then navigate to wp-content/plugins/

Find the event-espresso-core-reg directory and rename it to something else (add -temp to the directory).

That will de-activate EE and allow you to access the admin again, so navigate to Dashboard -> Plugins and delete Event Espresso (you will not lose any Event data when doing this).
