I see a plethora of reCAPTCHA (and similar) plugins offered to work with WordPress. Do you have any particular plugins that you recommend to work specifically with Event Espresso 4 to eliminate or reduce the number of phony registrations? And, after uploading the plugin into WP, are there written steps to incorporating it into the EE registration process?

Hi, a 3rd party party isn’t necessary to setup reCaptcha with Event Espresso.

Go to Event Espresso –> Registration Form –> Reg Form Settings (tab).

Then click on the link (here) under the toggle. Complete the registration and they’ll provide you with a set of credentials.

Add these to the reg form screen in Event Espresso 4 and save changes.

Note: reCaptcha will only appear for public visitors. That is, you won’t see it on your end unless you are logged out of your WordPress site.

Thank you, Lorenzo. And thank you, especially, for that last paragraph. I had already done what you mentioned, but was not seeing the results when I did a test registration. So I figured that I must have done something wrong. This confirms that I did it successfully.
