By default, I found that EE4 event pages use the ‘single.php’ template file for the Event page found at example.com/events/some_events_page
I have two questions:
- Is it possible to change which template file is used?
- My single.php file has a sidebar inside it. Is it possible to change the content of that sidebar specifically, i.e. change the widgets inside it?

Hi Ismail, yes you can change the theme template to use a different layout.
You’ll need to setup some templates for Event Espresso 4 and that takes a few minutes.

In step 5, look for an existing theme template that has a sidebar. It varies from theme to theme but it may appear with one of these names:
page.php
page-with-right-sidebar.php
page-with-left-sidebar.php

Thanks for the quick response,
I tried the tutorial using a page with no sidebar, as I wanted to see what that would look like.
When I loaded the event page it only showed the event title and description without the ticket selector or venue details etc. that I usually have on the page.

You’ll need to replace the line that retrieves the default content so that it looks for the information from Event Espresso.
