when i choose barcode scanner in the admin page and fill in this ticket: 10-4-1-318992 nothing happens when i click on enter..why is this? |
Hi Menno, I checked your site and it turns out there’s only one upcoming event, which exposes a bug in the barcode scanner admin page. There will be a fix for this in the next update for the barcode scanner add-on. In the meantime you can work around this by creating another event. Once you add a second event on your site, the barcode scanner admin page will function as expected. |

okay second thing… i dont want that customers copy their ticket.. now when i scan the barcode 2 times it says check out.. but i want only 1 time scan.. = check in.. and when some one copy the ticket then it says X =(not ok) instead of V =(ok) |
That’s not an available feature yet. We’re looking at adding one more scanning mode that disables check in and check out. In the meantime, when you scan a ticket you’ll need to be sure to watch the screen for the message that says the attendee has already checked in. |
it only says big V = ok nothing more |
Hi there, Here’s a screenshot that shows the checked in message. You’ll note the message appears when using Continuous Scanning mode. |
ok can i edit something for copy ticket? |
One thing you could do is translate the message that appears. A translation function makes this possible: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ Again, were going to add a new scan mode that doesn’t allow check out. Once it’s ready I’ll update this thread and let you know. |

last thing do u have html code that 1 ticket is on 1 A4 paper with bigger barcode (size 2) |
please |
It turns out we don’t recommend making the barcode fill the width of the paper (like you can do with the changing the barcode shortcode to be [BARCODE_* w=2]) This is because Firefox will cut off most of the barcode at that size when the ticket is printed. |
but when i do w=2 then the barcode will be cutted off |
Yes, that’s correct. The barcode’s default width is 1, but you can also change the barcode shortcode to be
if you prefer. |
but w=2 is to big and w=1 is to small |
Hi, Unfortunately the sizes are whole numbers only (1,2, 3 etc), and the barcode size cannot be modified with CSS. |
Hi there, While what Dean mentioned about the whole numbers is correct, there are different barcode types that will output different widths. It may help to know why the default code is too small. Is is too small for visual design purposes, or are your scanning devices having trouble scanning the smaller code? I can advise checking the manual for your scanning devices to find which code types it supports. This way you can use a different code type that may fit your ticket best and may even scan better. For example, a code type 128 is narrower than a code type 39. So if your scanner supports it, you could try:
and you’ll get a code that’s wider than the default, but will be narrower than The QR code may also be a good alternative if your scanner supports scanning QR codes. |

ive tried all but the biggest problem is when i want to print it the firefox browser cuts the barcode to 60% so what to do now.. the w=1 is too small |
also in internet explorer no barcode shows |

yes!! so i want bigger barcode also cvheck my other problems!! in IE no barcode shows |
Hi there, Please let me know which version of IE you are testing on so we can investigate. Re: the barcode, I can look into some ideas to make the barcode larger without being cut off. I can’t make any guarantees that we can change it so it’s bigger and does not get cut off by Firefox. Sorry about that. |
