This is really two questions. One is pretty simple, at the end of the term, we would like to simply change the times the classes are offered and delete the existing registrations. My client is worried she’s going to have to delete all the registrations by hand, each class at a time. Is that correct?

Second question is when you do delete a registration, it kicks you back to the full registration page. It takes several clicks to go back to the event, get to its registrations and delete those particular registrations.

Is there any easier way to delete registrations?

Thanks,
Shelly

Hi Shelly,

I can recommend a different process. Instead of trying to re-purpose the original class for the new class, you can duplicate the original event, then change the times the classes are offered in the newly copied event.

Sorry to only now to be writing back, but is there ANY OTHER way to do this. I told my client this and she wasn’t very happy. Apparently before she could just change the dates/times. She’s got a TON of events and they almost all repeat each term. Is there any solution that doesn’t involve her having to duplicate each class? Can registrations be whipped from the database? Thanks Josh,
Shelly

Hi Shelly, is she wanting to reschedule this event or remove the current registrants completely?

Both of the options above are possible but they will require manually changing some information through the WP dashboard. That is, neither of these are possible with a couple clicks.

I do not recommend changing anything in the database as that could cause some issues if you make a mistake.

At the end of each term, about 3/4 of the ‘events’ or classes really will be also offered. So before what she would do apparently is just go in to the class and change the dates, and voila. But it appears that she can no longer do it the way she was before. I’m just trying to save her as much time as possible…

Hi Shelly,

It turns out that duplicating the event is the quickest and easiest option available. This is because duplicating the event involves one click. Deleting payments and attendees from events can be dozens of clicks for each event.
