The layout of the default /events URL just doesn’t look right with all the custom posts in there. It doesn’t make it easy for the viewer to trawl through them. Ideally I would like this to default to a page I already have setup such as the list view or any page I choose. Should I just use a URL forwarding plugin or is there a neater way of doing this? I found this topic but I don’t think that’s my issue: https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-can-i-change-default-event-url-with-ee4-version/
Can you link us to your events page so we see this please?
Event Espresso 4 injects the event date into your sites theme, unless the theme is doing something odd, you should not have other custom posts other than your events viewable on that endpoint.
I think that’s all that you can see here but I don’t like the fact that it lists everything without much ability to control it. When viewing a specific event the breadcrumb always contains /events/ – ideally this would go back to the list view here
Hi, sounds like a bit of hassle. I will try the custom redirect or look at sorting that page out. If you could combine the interface of modern tribe’s events calendar with EE functionality things would be near perfect. The UI is the only thing that proves time consuming to get right with EE the defaults aren’t ideal. Thanks anyway for looking into it.
